Jacked the front end, now have hard brake pedal

Last night I replaced my sway bar end links and I also removed and reinstalled my motor mounts (due to excessive vibrations), and after I finished I started the car and let it run for a few minutes and ran it through the gears so the mounts would settle, then I lowered it and did a quick drive around the block before I torqued the mounts in place. The brake pedal was extremely hard, so I scanned it and cleared any codes that were there from the MAF being disconnected, but it didn't help the pedal at all.

Any advice on what may have happened? I'm not sure how air got into the system, unless something has failed or there's a vacuum leak somewhere, because I'm not leaking any fluid. Thanks!

Have you checked that the vacuum hose has not come lose and that your check valve is still in place?

Did you check all vacuum lines? I know jacking the motor up can pull on some of them. Just a thought

If air got in the brake system your pedal would be soft right? Because air compresses more than brake fluid? Correct me if I'm wrong

Yes, you're right. I'm thinking vacuum problem, from all the responses so far. I'll take a look tonight and see what I find.

And, since this is my money pit, I now have a small leak in the transmission area...hoping it's just a seal and nothing more serious. Argh.

    Thanks for the help!

This turned out to be a quick fix. Like others guessed, it was a vacuum line that came off when I jacked the engine. I popped it back on and my brakes are back to normal. Thanks again, everyone.

Just as I thought, I know raising the engine pulls on things, I'm glad it was an easy fix!
