It appears that the runner number 1 flapper is stuck and causing my cel issue. I can't smog my car till the cel is addressed. I'm going to attempt to carbon clean my intake but if the pin for the flapper is broke, I may have to source a new or used one.

Thanks for the lead! I wasn't aware of the interchangeability.

There may also be an easy fix. 4Dr1ver4 from Audiworld recently had a problem with his passenger side intake manifold runner. The problem was that the white plastic ball which fits into a socket on the actuator had worn to the point where it would not stay in the socket. He put a screw through the actuator socket and ball to hold them together and the car is working great. The fix was quick and essentially free. Go over to Audiworld and post the question.

Sounds pretty straight forward. I really don't want to buy a new or used manifold if it's only a part within the manifold assembly has failed or fouled. Once I get in there, I'll have to access my options. Did the OP do a write up or at least post pics of his solution?

Unfortunately he did not. Post over on Audiworld and ask him.
