Hey guys, I just did and oil change on my 2001 A4 1.8t quattro about two weeks ago and everything has been running well up until two days ago. Ive noticed this awful smell when I come to a stop and then take off. So I looked under the hood, checked my oil last night and found there to be like snotty cream colored shit on my dipstick when I took it out....idk what this is.. Can anyone tell me what may be the problem. Thank you

I hate to say it, but it may be coolant mixed in your oil.

If so, the leak source must be found and fixed. The whole system will have to be thoroughly cleaned out. If you catch it early, it is possible cleaning it won't be as bad; the car should not be driven until it is fixed.

Shit...yeah thank you for the pics. It has to be the coolant then. It's only a small amount but I'm definitely going to get it taken care of. Thank you guys for the feedback. Much love

Another possibility is if you used your heater for the first time, in a long time, it can dirty up your coolant. I guess my heater core had some rust and dirty water just sitting in it for a long time and once I turned on my heater it made my coolant discolored and had a film on top.

Whether the heat is or not has no impact on the flow through the heater core. Unlike some other cars, there is full flow through the heater core at all times (assuming it's not plugged up) and the temperature is regulated by how much air goes through the core as opposed to going around it.

Yep, chocolate milk color is when coolant mixes with the oil.

The oil cooler is the prime suspect for coolant in oil, I'd take a look at that before you jump to a bad head gasket.
