Seems pretty cheap to me.
In San Francisco an expired parking meter ticket will run you $85 and parking in a street sweeping zone will set you back $75.
$92 for a seatbelt violation seems like you are getting off pretty easy to me.

The minimum ticket cost of an adult seat belt violation in California is $142 and up, and a minimum of $445 for not properly restraining a child under 16. If the parent is not in the car, the driver gets the ticket.

I just paid a $120 parking ticket to the county for no tags on the front of my Avant.

$35 processing fee was tacked on because I received my final notice back in February.

Oh and did I mention the county put a lien on my state tax return until I paid it in full?

seatbelt violation here is 180 first offense, 240 second offense, 300 third and any other offenses to follow.

I got a $300 ticket from a cop who was pissed at how many cars were parked at my house... I was rearranging the cars in my driveway to clear more room on the street... nailed me with a seatbelt violation while shuffling cars because he didnt have anything else that would stick.

Anyway- Your ticket is reasonable: cop's mind... It's plausible that you weren't wearing the belt before the parking lot too. Or just tint your windows.

Usually I would say that but if he really was in the process of parking the car, I often unbuckle in order to back into my spot at home. In my big Titan, it is kind of hard to turn around to see properly while backing up with the seat belt on.

Most people aren't aware what goes into the price of a moving violation. The lion's share is taxes and fees. Here is a screenshot of one of my seatbelt tickets. I got two by the same cop in the same spot at the same time of day a week apart from each other. Dude was pretty cool though.

Hey its been 3 years since I've had a moving violation! Considering I lost track of times getting pulled over after 30, I am doing pretty good with only 6 moving violations. And a couple of them are 8 or 9 years old.

OP needs to understand $108 is not a lot for a ticket in most states. In North Dakota, the speeding ticket costs however many miles an hour over you were. 65 in 60? $5 ticket. And we don't have any "points system" out here, but get enough tickets in a short amount of time, and you will get your license suspended. I once got a letter in the mail from the state saying any more tickets in the next few months and I'll get my DL taken away for a month or so.

Personally, there are very few hatchbacks that I would drive and the A3/A4Avant are not ones that I would pick up unless they were heavily modded and for a damn good price (which usually they are for a damn good price because no one's first choice is a hatchback).

It's cool, my A4 runs strong and doesn't look too shabby yet. I had to get something cheap after totaling 1 car and blowing up the engine in it's replacement. I had 3 audis in 2012 so that slowed my upgrade plans a bit. By the end of this year I'm confident I'll be cruising around in something newer though but I don't want to sell the B5 to do it. I want a backup car. ;) lol, that is if I don't blow a big chunk of that savings on a couple tropical vacations. Jamaica and Belize are looking pretty good.

The wifey was terrified; she kept a firm hold on the door. I unlocked the car for shits and giggles, the look of "you fucking asshole" was hilarious!

Seriously though, your highways are long and you don't have enough signs telling me what exit is coming up. It's like "BOOM, exit here now-oh shit I missed my exit."
