    Kayak tie down points?

Going to pick up my new kayak next week and was curious as to where would be the best points to tie it down to. Front and back? Thought of using tow hook points but their so far to the passenger side I don't think that would work well. Thoughts?

Do you have a roof rack or cross bars?

I'd run your straps through your windows.

Those are the easy straps. I need help with the straps to the front and rear of the kayak. Where do I tie those to the car?

If you have ratchet straps, it's plenty to hold the kayak down. I mount my kayak on my cross bars with only two small ratchet straps and as long as they are tight and pressed down, the kayak isn't moving.

For the bow you can use the offset tow hook. For the stern you'll have to look under the exhaust valence for something solid.
My other home is an AIRSTREAM.

It's 15ft long so I need more than the 2 straps in the middle. Since I have foam blocks I can't ratchet it to the rack. I have to go through the windows. And the front tow hook is too far to the passenger side. But it may have to work. What a pain
