    Why I ought a...hahaha!

I might need to introduce a smidge to fit the wider wheels and tires after going lower. Maybe just lowering will do the trick though?

Bought but not yet installed, for my B6. They appear to be quite a quality built piece. I bought them to dial in proper camber for track use.

If you already know you may have some rubbing/contact with your wheel specs, these could help. But better to install the wheels and see if you need them before buying IMO.

I got a set on the car but have only put a 100 miles on them...Car is under the knife currently (as we discussed) but should be done this week. I'll report back once I get some miles on them.

How do you like the Lamarr Houston pick up?

    Nice! Who's doing the work?

I like it. I wasn't too upset with Peppers until he signed with the enemy. Judas Peppers. They still need a better interior d line push/run stop though and not really loving the safeties they signed but I guess anything is upgrade from last seasons

Dynarev, which is a highly reputable shop that is sort of local to me. I should be picking up the car on Thursday but we will see...

I really didn't expect to resign Peppers, but the whole GB thing blew me away. He's a a shell of what he used be...I'm not worried. I think the draft will be where the Bears fill the rest of their needs you mentioned...DT (1st round), Safety (2nd round). The safeties they picked up are just bodies...I only see one of them making the team and he will be a back up/Special teams.

I couldn't comment on the rear's specificly, but I can say (since they have the same ball joints) that 034's implementation of ball joints is both a benefit (fully rebuild able arm) and a disaster. What I mean by that is, you're supposed to be able to remove the allen bolt to the pin and just turn the joint to adjust the arm, but that doesn't work, because
    A) you can't even torque it to their specification (the pin just spins, I had it cranked down as hard as I could in a vice and still coulnd't get it to spec)
    and
    b) the same goes for the nut which is suggested to torque to 45ft/lbs and use loctight. I don't have an open ended torque wrench (I don't know anyone that reasonably does) so it too, isn't right.

when you tighten these as much as you can and put them in the car, you then can't get the arms loose to make adjustments, so that means you're going to pop the joints out of the pinch and try to man-handle the nut loose to then make adjustments.

I've got the rears and have no complaints. Finding an alignment shop that actually has the proper alignment rack to do the rears properly is more challenging and expensive.

I did my best to count threads on the inner ball joints so they are even and just had my alignment guys adjust the camber.

If you have some negative camber with aggressive offset wheels you might run into rubbing.

My goal was to get my alignment within factory specs so i don't wear my tires prematurely or unevenly.

    Good luck.

Ya. I have 18x9 et29 wheels with 245/35 tires. Current camber specs are -1.7 front and -1.6 rear at ride height of 25+ front and 25++ rear.

When you say rubbing, you mean fenders? I understand that if so. Or are you meaning rubbing on these 034 units? Just clarifying. Thanks.

I'm fortunate to have a great alignment shop. He sets up all sorts of scca club cars, Porsche, minis, miatas, etc. He's solid. Has all my cars dialed in and doesn't charge an arm and leg to do it right.

Word travel fast ;). I will definitely do that. It has taken a little longer than I expected but that's the nature of these cars as we all know. Adam has been great and kept me updated daily as the build progressed. As with most things the end result will determine how happy I'll be.

I'm going to start going to the cars and coffee (Sat. mornings) in the SW burbs if you want to come by and check it out. Also joined the Audi club of Chicago and should be showing up to many of the events.

As I've stated to you before, I'm really disappointed that you didn't put that monster in your car. I sure you have a good reason for doing so, but that engine was so damn pretty...You could have hung it on a wall and called it art ;).

C&C I have been doing the north one (Vernon Hills) one since it started pretty much may make it down that way depending on work schedule. That's were I heard about a B5S4 with Adam and put 2 and 2 together..

Back on topic as I have been looking at these for a while as my bushing in the rear are in need of serious replacement. So if we could follow up down the road with feedback on how they perform that would be awesome.

Sorry I should have clarified that the issue would be rubbing the fender.

Another thing that came to mind was potentially finding shorter hardware for the outer joint. At your ride height the length of the bolt may rub against the inner fender liner. I haven't had any issues but the alignment shop made a point to mention it to me.

    Good luck.
