034 Catch Can Drain Valve DIY

Some of you have been looking for how to make your catch cans have a drain valve that will drain to the under side of the car, well here ya go. As you can see my drain was stripped out (034 says they are odd size allen plug, i say its just cheap quality) so this was a great reason to drill it out...

    Tools Needed:
    -Drill with 7/16 Bit
    -1/4-18 NPT Tap
    -Channel Locks
-1/2" 12 point socket with Ratchet

    Supplies Needed:
    -1/4-18 NPT Drain Valve
    -1/4-18 x 2" NPT threaded pipe
    -Plumbing Tape
-7/16 ID rubber tubing (Not Pictured)

    1:
    Dissemble the Catch Can.

    2:
Unscrew/Drill out the bottom hole on the catch can with the 7/16" drill bit

    3:
Use the 1/4-18 NPT Tap to make new threads in the bottom of the catch can.

    4:
Use plumbing tape on both sides of the 1/4-18 x 2" NPT threaded pipe to ensure a good seal and screw it into the bottom of the catch can. Then screw the Valve on the end of that, which ends up looking like this...

    5:
Reassemble the Catch Can and attach the hose to the bottom of the valve and install back on your car. Route the hose to bottom side of your car and secure using a zip tie.

    6:
All Done!! Hope this helps some of you guys out!
