Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
just wondering if anyone here has either the simple understated rear spoiler or the side blades installed on their stock a4 premium base model I am curious how this will look on stock ride height. Can't seem to find anything on google images

All 2014 A4 Prem+ models come with the S-Line blades, so if you google that you'll see a bunch of stock ride height (non-sport) cars with the blades.

Having had a 2014 loaner just like that, I will say that while the wheelgap remains, the blades do make the car appear lower to the ground.

Please don't put a spoiler on your Audi.

I have a base model, and I'm plannin on putting on the side blades... But I'm also lowered. I think the side blades really add a subtle but necessary aesthetic upgrade!

I am thinking side blades for sure and possibly spoiler thanks for the info. Spoiler is so cheap on eBay 39 bucks! Side blades I am guessing are more and I can't seem to find them already painted like the spoilers.

This. Just because its $39 off fleabay doesnt mean you have to buy it.

The "m3" style spoiler really does not flow with the lines of our car. It is just a generic shaped lip cut to lenth for your trunk. Thats as far as they take it as for tailoring it to your trunk.

The b8 trunk already has a lip. when you add a lip, it looks like a spoiler stacked ontop of a spoiler. Excuse me while I puke.

This same thing happened with the b5 guys with their trunks, once the "tuning" crowd could afford the b5 many people put spoilers on untill they started to prefer the clean look Audi built the car to have, but hey, history repeats itself. And with a high number of newbs to the modifyig scene (as most guys who like to tinker stick to older Audi's) we see history repeat itself HARD.

If we could see the age group of the members adding spoilers and pink rims to our lovely chassis things would make more sense. We have a large non euro background bringing in their habits into the euro scene. I haven't seen it yet, but i wouldn't be surprised to see a row of rear view mirrors in an Audi. It's only a matter of time.

M3 spoilers belong on a BMW, the same way Lambo doors belong on a Lamborghini.

To each their own. I agree that it looks like a spoiler on top of a spoiler.

    Are you trolling?

Show me one. Literally one, that came from Audi with an M3 lip.

OP get the spoiler if you want it, who cares if Audizine approves or not. There are a lot of guys on here who purchases the ebay spoiler and are very happy with how it turned out. Most put it on the B8, i personally think the B8.5 doesnt need it, but feel free to do it. Not expensive, and if you hate it, take it off!!!

As for the sideblades, i think its a no brainer to get these. They are a tad pricey compared to the spoiler ($250 on ecstuning.com unpainted and probably another $100-$150 to color match them). My next planned upgrade is the sideblades so ill let you know how much it comes out to for me.

The reiger lip flows excellent with the b8 body lines.

I would also like to see the age group of people who do certain mods....or how many euro cars they have owned.

Thumbs up for side blades. I'm on a base model as well and im definitely going to pull the trigger on side blades. They just add very subtle line to the car and makes it look more planted.

Let OP live! If he wants to put a spoiler, lambo doors, a lift kit, and whatever else he wants then he should go ahead and do it. If/When he sees how ugly it turns out he has to live with it not us lol

Personally some people here hate spoilers on their ride, and insist on 'sharing' their opinion in every thread. And insist again, and insist again. Your ride, your own money, just enjoy the modding process. If you don't like it, just remove it. Not much loss to your pocket anyway.

Yeah I definitely shared my opinion in two threads. One of them titled 'Spoiler Opinions'. People come onto a public forum often to ask for opinions and feedback.

You can't be all bent out of shape just because someone doesn't agree.
