OK contestants, whenever my 2013 A5 Quattro (2.0 T) w/automatic shifts up out of first gear into second gear or downshifts from second gear into first gear, I get an audible singular knock or pop which seems to emit from the engine compartment (near the front, I think). This knock is not loud, but is easily heard from inside the passenger compartment, and is very consistent in presentation at all temps and conditions. This knock can be felt through the accelerator pedal (not sure of brake pedal), don't think through the steering wheel. Car has 11,000 miles on the clock.

What is this knock?
