    Hello people!

    I have searched and i have searched again, but no luck..

    My car will not connect to 56-radio to program AUX-in. Most other functions are accessible. I have VCDS 11:11:13 with Ross-tech HEX+CAN Dual-K & CAN <-> USB interface for VCDS Rev.B.

    Have any of you had similar problems with connecting to certain controllers? I can access engine, brakes, lights etc..

    Hope someone can help a poor, cold and lonely polarbearhunting Swede out:)

    And for my other question, do any of you guys know of any diagnostic software that can program my radion, other than VCDS? Preferably compatible with USB interfaces, not COM1 etc.

    As for your software, try updating it as a trouble shoot or delete it and re-download it.
    There can be multiple reasons for it. Start with the basics.

    Well i´ve tried just about everything, software, interface, different computer, different OS, i even took apart the OBD connector in my car and checked for damages.. I'm being sent a replacement now to eliminate the cable being the fault. It seems that the CAN protocol does not communicate, might be the decoder in the cable itself, i hope.

    The fault codes indicating communication error are completely random.

    How do i reset my HU? And i assume that i need my radiocode afterwards, where do i find it?

    Thanks for your help bro!

    At least you tried all that above. So they are sending you a replacement cable from Ross tech?

    Your code for whatever radio you have should be in your owners manual. Unless you bought something and just installed it without the code, then you have another problem.

    I would say do this;
    If your HU IS WORKING now, leave it as is until you can locate your security pin.
    If your HU don't have the security pin, don't do anything else until you get that in order.
    You don't want to drive around without a non working head unit.

    Just tried programming my cousins 2KA Caddy and i could connect to 56-Radio... So i guess the problem is in my car somewhere.. From what i read the communication is via K-line, but i assume that it could be either Can-bus or K-line that is faulty!
