Mullin Museum Group Drive and Tour Saturday May 10th

The Audi Club North America Southern California Chapter is organizing a major event for all Audi Enthusiasts on Saturday May 10th!

It starts out at 8am with a morning group cruise departing from the El Camino shopping Center (off the 101 at Valley Circle in Woodland Hills/Calabasas), through the Santa Monica Mountains - utilizing Mulholland and popular canyon roads, up Pacific Coast Highway towards Oxnard for an exclusive tour of the "Art of Bugatti" exhibit at the famous Mullin Automotive Museum at 10am.

After the museum tour you will be invited to join the group at nearby DCH Audi Oxnard, our friends and hosts for the day’s VIP luncheon featuring food, music, aftermarket vendors, prizes and special surprises.

The event is open to all Audi Enthusiasts however space is limited to approximately 100 guests.






For anyone wishing to opt-out of the morning group drive, you will have the option to meet the group directly at he Mullin Museum at 9:45am in order to collect your wristband(s) from the club’s representatives on-site outside the museum just prior to the group drive’s arrival.

After a great visit with some fellow Audiziners at Supercar Sunday today, a few of us headed over to the El Camino shopping Center parking lot, the starting point for the May 10th Mullin Group Drive. I took full advantage of an opportunity to pre-drive the route with the organizer of the group drive for the event as my passenger. He happens to be a certified track instructor for the Audi club and was able to give me some great driving tips! I feel I took allot away from it with one session for which I am very grateful.

It was also the first time I've really had a serious chance to put the new Stasis Ohlins coilover setup to the test with some more aggressive, continuous canyon driving. The car is so surefooted now with every turn. We were both impressed!

No doubt Mullholland is a classic stretch of road and Southern California driving at its best! This is going to be so much fun incorporating the Mullin museum visit and lunch after with the drive. The drive event will be broken into separate manageable run groups by the club so that everyone is able to stay together withing their individual run groups.

Depending on where you are coming from in San Diego, it is about a 2.5 drive from San Diego to the start point of the group drive in Woodland Hills. Good news is early on a Saturday morning there should be no issues with traffic. I do know some South OC guys you could probably rendezvous with. Shawn from Pacific German is coming up with his R8 project car and new Allroad. The group drive itself is not that many miles but takes about 50 minutes because of all the curves lol. Then it's a beautiful drive up along the coast on PCH about 20 minutes further to Oxnard and the museum. Overall from San Diego, it is a great day trip if you are up for it and will be an amazing time!

The morning group drive will be a blast plus its a beautiful route. However, as mentioned before, Club Representatives will be on site outside the museum by 9:30am to greet those who'd like to meet directly at the Mullin museum. Basically, any unclaimed wristbands after the start of the group drive will be transferred to the museum. The club will be providing coffee and pastries at both locations. The first group tour will be around 10am or shortly thereafter.

Anyone leaving from OC/SD would like to meet up at the 405/5 armpit in the back of the Target lot(Irvine Spectrum)? Leave the lot to go north via 405 route at 615am. So be there couple mins prior with your coffee! There won't be any traffic or at least I have never seen any that early.

If someone would like to lead Pacific German guys or anyone else, please let me know, as I hate leading the pack. (I tend to lose people)

Just two more days guys!! I am not very good at keeping secrets so might as well tell you that we will be joined by the crew from ABT Sportsline USA who will be showing up with one or two of their current ABT Audi project cars to cruise and hang with us. They will also be contributing a very nice coffee table book to our prize raffle. It is a limited edition publication titled “115 Years of ABT” and is a promotional item not even available in stores!
