Want to catch a ride in one, desperate to know what all the hubbub is all about! I feel like someone around here must have one??

If you have one, I will supply you with a 6-pack of my favorite beer (or one of your choice if you're a monster and hate left hand milk stout )

Also, martin will probably want a ride tambien.

I haven't seen it since this last summer but I know someone who works by me owns one. It was parked on the street (if you have any gravitas down here, you get a parking garage pass through your job) in front of my building. I may have to get some of those "spotted" cards and risk getting caught touching another mans ride; something I wouldn't normally do.

I'm guessing I'll start seeing it again as the weather improves. I always found myself looking back at it repeatedly as I walked away; great looking car.

Jace, don't get upset because you drink bottled piss!! i keed i keed PBR is by far the best of the pisswater beers.

that would actually greatly affect my decisionmaking to still drink good beer.

buuuurn! freal doe, i just don't drink that much. so when i am drinking i don't feel bad splurging on some henne or makers, feel the same way about beer. I can drink 2x PBR's per dank beer and be less drunk

Agree with the kinda looking like a girl car thing. But, if my dog fits, its a significant upgrade over this beater b7 I'm not quite at R8 / S7 level

I hear that alot, apparently lots of people think the tt is girly. I asked my friend who knows nothing about cars what she liked more, so I pulled up a picture of a TTRS and a boxster S. She told me the TTRS looked like a chubby bunny....bitch! lol I still like it, I think they could have done a bit more on the sides to spice it up, they look a bit bland, but I like that it is an aggressive looking car that no one will notice. It's that kind of car that you really have to look at for a bit to figure it out. Not a sleeper, but just something that isn't super gaudy. I will say I am not a fan of the massive spoiler. I wish they would have made it an active wing instead so you could hide it.

you could get the TT-RS with an active wing as a 0$ option.

but the fixed spoiler i think sets it apart from the others, and its a LOT lighter, less moving parts so less chance of failure, etc.

might be driving down tomorrow to check it out... I'm not buying it lol but i want to drive it and they seem pretty desperate to sell. anyone wanna join?

The front of the TT-RS is good, the back isn't aggressive; but I think the wing really helps it.

But it would be a very fun car to toss around. Stage 2 is 380whp on APR's dyno.

unfortunately that's FWHP, as they disconnect the rear wheels for the golf R and TT-RS dyno, but it still looks to be quite a fun car.

I drove a TTRS and a TTS back to back. The RS was great, but felt is was lacking something (still can't pinpoint it). I enjoyed the TTS more though. I was really surprised by this. The TTRS felt heavy and wasn't as nimble as the TTS. Maybe it was because the TTRS was brand new with 7 miles in it and the TTRS had a few 1000 miles. But would rather buy a cayman for the price

I know what you mean, the suspension is much stiffer on the RS, almost comically so. But the Motor is amazing compared to the TTS.

Even tho I think its kinda a girl car, I'm more than tempted to get one of these:

not gonna lie, i absolutely love that car! definitely is lacking something, ahem ahem acceleration lol. i mean its fun but doesn't feel much better than a 2.0TSI. the extra money for the RS i think is worth it for the seats, brakes, suspension (magnetic) and the uniqueness of the 5-cyl motor.

Plus with audi most likely not having the 5 cyl in the new TTRS (this is a bold assumption based on the RS3 not getting it and neither being announced at geneva)... who knows when they'll come out with another one. hopefully the new TTRS comes out with the same 2.5T so that this one drops haha, plus that one is way sexy-er

thing is, I need to drive it with a full exhaust and APR tune to know whether its the right car. Plus i need to know for sure that if i need to warranty something i won't get flagged aka APR can undo the tune enough that the dealership won't suspect it. i was incredibly impressed though. Maybe Sean can fix my impressed-ness with a quick spin in his car? eh? eh?? haha...

if it was Ibis and not suzuka i would totally have bought it. LOL an APR exhaust is $2800........ but honestly i think all it needs is a tune and an exhaust! edit: it also needs an HPA competition controller. but those three and its at well over 400whp, excellent braking is improved by maintaining awd at all times... idk sounds like an awesome car with 4.5k in upgrades, has great suspension stock no need to replace it... and i didn't even drive it without traction control
