    Bentley Manual or Service Manual

I'm getting ready to do my timing belt replacement and I'm wondering if I need the Bentley or Service manual? I've read that the Bentley is the go to guide, but they only have it on disc. No paperback and limited operating system requirements to run the disc from Bentley. Anyone copy the Bentley or have it on PDF? Thanks

The Bentley manual is essentially a copy of the official Audi repair manual. Certainly the platform requirements to actually use the older Bentley manuals is painful. I had to buy the Windows 7 Professional upgrade and then run the DVD in virtual XP mode. Quite honestly, if you're only doing the timing belt, you can probably learn all that you need to, by viewing many of the DIY posts/videos available on line. I DO recommend getting a manual, but I also recognize that they can become cost prohibitive because of operating system requirements.

I've got an extra Bently manual that I can let go for cheap if you need one. PM me if interested.

    Issue? send me an email

When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life.
