Tracking down my old S4

Last Feb I traded in my S, now somewhat regrettably, for a Jeep (which I love). Car was at the dealer for a few months but its been gone for some time now. Any way of tracking down where it is now?

Run a CarFax or AutoCheck. You could at least find out where it's registered now.

You can't walk in to the DMV and get information like that any more, thankfully, and the dealer probably won't give it up either, but you could ask. Maybe the buyer was a friend of someone there, and they could pass on your contact info or ask the buyer if it's okay to contact. You don't lose anything by asking.
