Hey guys so here is the problem I am having is I got a new oem radio to replace the old destroyed one that came with the car. I figured that it was the radio causing my issue but I put the new one in and I still only get sound from the passenger rear speaker and it sounds very weak. Help me

Do you have vagcom? That will show errors if any speakers are blown or disconnected.

From memory one of the rear speakers in mine was disconnected and it broke the circuit for the other. If you have a sedan you can check the rear ones are connected pretty easily.

I think it should pop up in the general scan. I had a blown speaker that registered. I would have thought any broken circuit would appear too. We might have reached the limit of my knowledge sorry.

My sedan(non bose) had your same problem, bought the car with a blown radio swapped it out with a new one and the deck speakers weren't working. I found out the amp from the left speaker was missing, its like a metal square box mounted under the left speaker. I'm almost positive non bose rear speakers are powered by an amp. if i was you i would find that amp.

Yay new issue. So I got the radio reprogrammed and now the rears don't work. But I know they aren't blow because that was the one speaker that worked before. So my question is I vcds what should the code be for a car with non Bose should the rear speakers be set to passive or active?

I don't want to stick with oem. But I have a nice 6 hr drive coming on Monday and would really like some music. So I am looking for a decent fix for now.

I have an avant so I am going to have to tear up the rear drive side to try and find the amp and the sub. But is there another amp on the rear driver speaker?
