i'd like to learn how to do this, i'm a car noobie, will supply beer and possibly more if someone wants to work something out

i know you need a vagcom and a special tool to do the rear... i could purchase them if i have to, would prefer if someone already had them :)

i live in the south bay bay area cali, i'm available on weekday evenings and the weekend.

if no one would like to help a brotha out should i do this at a dealer or find a shop nearby that is less expensive? are there any dangers with going to a private shop other than a dealer?

any help/input would be much appreciated
