How to make motorized hideaway plate work with key fob

Me and my wife just got a 2009 A4, and unfortunately we live in VA where we have to have a front license plate.

I am going to get the replica RS4 grill and do not want the plate mounted on the grill.

My thought was to get a hide away plate like this(or any other option that would work): http://www.amazon.com/Hide-A-Way-ret...+license+plate

My goal would be to make it work so when I hit the lock button on the Audi key fob then the license plate "hides", and then when I hit the unlock button on the Audi key fob the license plate would reappear.

    Is this possible?

    Thanks
    Chris

I can't find the schematics for the plate hider to see if it needs a momentary trigger to activate it or a constant 12 volt for the motor and another switched 12 volt for the control. If you have led headlights you may be able to tap a relay into that line and use the led to control the plate. When you hit unlock the leaving home function will turn on the LED's and then the plate would come out. If its a momentary trigger (from its own remote control) then that would be a bit more difficult.

EDIT: From the photo I'm guessing its feed 12 volts direct from the battery and uses the included remote to activate it. That way you can retract the plate without the key being in.
