    Name that noise (video included)

Has a kind of a clacking sound, its random. But its also consistent while it is making a noise. For example, drove to work the other day and it was completely quiet, started it later and the noise came back at idle and under about 3k.

A place between here and there

Sounds like some type of leak. Siphon some seafoam into your intake manifold (slowly) while the car is running. Don't overwhelm it. Do it slowly by slowly till smoke starts come out the exhaust. That will reveal if it is an exhaust leak. The smoke will expose the leaks. If you do it too fast, there will be too much smoke for you to tell exactly where the leak is.
I hate it when my car acts like a little bitch, treating me like a bitch

I'll try that, but I really don't think its a leak. It's not from the exhaust side, it definitely sounds like it's from the intake cam/intake side. What kinds of sounds can be random? Because a bent valve or something like that world be 100% consistent and I'd probably have a misfire right?

The car still runs perfect btw

Sounds like cam chain and tensioner or no oil pressure pull valve cover off and look at lifters and chain

Funny, this same sound happened on my buddies nissan, talking exactly the same tune. It was his timing belt hitting the timing covers because his belt was loose and wasn't tighten correctly. Have you changed the belt recently? with correct tension? just curious, otherwise id follow Drifter420 and take the cover off and check slack of the cam chain and tensioner as well. sounds like something is definitely loose.

Put a mechanics stethoscope to the to the valve cover (or a long screw driver if you don't have one) to pinpoint the sound.

After this suggestion I looked at my timing belt and it had some rubber inside the cover like it was rubbing on it. Then I started pushing on the timing belt and what did I find? The top half was in tension... but the bottom flopped around all over the place. Apparently the hydraulic tensioner went bad after only 15k. I was sent a replacement for free and am putting it on soon. My car is apart right now to put in a bigger turbo.

What are the chances it jumped time by a tooth?

And what symptoms would it have? When it was running, it seemed fine just like before the noise.

If it jumped a tooth it would still run, but it would run like crap. Essentially it would have little power and sound like it's misfiring. If it was running just fine I highly doubt it jumped a tooth.

FTW! glad i could help and i agree with Ducktool if it did skip a tooth it would run like shit. but if it is still running then you didn't skip many teeth and your valves are in tact! lol new tensioner, align TDC for everything and your back to normal
