Airbag light + TPMS Malfunction.

Hey guys, quick question on what to do.

I got the took the steering wheel out because it was crooked to the right and now im having a little bit of an issue.

1. I disconnected the battery
2. Disconnected the airbag.
3. Took the steering wheel off.
4. connected the battery.
5. I took the car for a spin around the block to make sure the steering was to my satisfaction.
6. came back to the batcave and disconnected the battery.
7. Put everything back together.
8. Steering wheel is now straight but I have the Airbag and TPMS light on.

When I try to reset the TPMS light, I get the TPMS malfunction message.

Any ideas besides going to the dealer or autozone to have the errors cleared?

what does the vag (VCDS) say related to the errors? My recommendations is to reset the errors and see if they clear and stay clear.

I cant fins my cable and i dont thi k theres anyone near me with vcds available.

ok... so after driving to work this morning the TPMS light went off and im no longer showing system malfunction.

I will try to clear the codes for the airbag and see what happens.
