Grinding noise

The wife has been telling me the car has got occasionally grinding noises from the back.
Finally had a chance to look, found this :eek:







Can't believe what I found, scared the life out of me. May only be a 13mm bolt missing but imagine what would happen if the other bolt fails under emergency braking at speed!

You let the shop do service and then you go through the whole car again to see what the slackers missed :-)

Would any if you believe the mechanic who did the work last on the brakes works at Audi and the job was done in there workshop:eek:

If only it hadn't been a cash job by a friend of a friend I'd have some comeback

Oh, so it was 'Off the books', as in no service document (SRO #, etc) ever created? (I wasn't aware this was even possible). Otherwise, I'd have a 'chat' with the Service Mgr (and notify AoA even).
