Best place for Tiptronic flush? Reasonable Price in Bay Area?

    Hello,

I just bought a 2005 a4 1.8t Avant Tip with 86k miles and don't believe the transmission has ever been flushed. I am also getting a jerk when it downshifts in auto mode when warm from 5th to 4th and from doing a little research, it seems it could be the N91 solenoid. It does not happen though when the car is cold or if I downshift manually giving it gas. I was planning on buying the kit from Blauparts or ECS and doing the flush myself but it's a little hassle to get under the car without a lift. Does anybody recommend a specific shop for this. I have seen people recommend 034 Motorsport, Karmakanix, AVS Specialists and Griffin Motorwerke. Do I need to go to an audi specialized place for this? How much do these services usually run for?

If my downshifting problem was not fixed, I was going to do another flush and replace the N91 solenoid at that time since it seems to be recommended to do a couple flushes back to back changing only the fluid the second time around.

I have been getting quotes of around $350-400 which seems a little steep for me since all the parts cost less than $100

    Thanks,
    Ramzi

you do not want to do a FLUSH. just a simple change of fluid, filter and gasket.
any audi/vw shop can do it, and they are all going to charge $300+
