I just recently bought a 2001 S4 "as-is" with a bad clutch, and have some questions about some after market stuff under the hood. I come from the VWVortex world where i built a Turbo 24v VR6 so im pretty well versed with german mechanics. Heres a few pics....

(FYI this car has 140,000miles on it and runs great, it just dosnt move so well lol wont shift into any gear while its running except reverse....)

Heres a general engine bay pic, if you see anything aftermarket let me know thanks ;)

Here is some "vast performance" canister with tubes coming from the intake and windshield washer res. im assuming this is meth injection, am i correct?

Im guessing this Vast performance control inside the car controls the meth injection?

Heres some sensor thats part of the vacuum system i guess, but what kind of upgrade was done that required three vacuum lines being blocked off...

Here is some boost control nob....this isnt stock is it?

And finally...is there a reason why would a guy hard wire the radiator fans to a switch inside the car on these B5 S4's? This picture shows the fan plug with yellow wires coming from it, and right next to it is the original female plug for the fans? was this done out of laziness to replace a coolant temp sensor lol?

Yes that is a methanol injection setup. Also I see some aftermarket diverter valves.

    WMI, N249 Delete, MBC.

Looks like it also has an upgraded throttle body boot, upgraded coolant T and DVs.

Edit: Look up N249 Delete and then start working on plumbing it back in. This was a common delete for a few years but has since been determined to be a valve worth replacing rather than bypassing.

looks like the interior trim has been wrapped, and the "Spider Hose" (PCV/Breather system [cone shaped thing attached to the y-intake pipe] ) has been replaced with the updated unit.
