Intercoolers are not true power adders but they do recover horsepower that is lost due to thermal inefficiency. Below you will find the IAT (Intake Air Temperature) changes during 5 consecutive 0-100mph runs. The car was tested with the stock intercooler - the only change was the EuroCode FMIC. As you can see in the graph labeled "Run 5", there is a difference of 38° Fahrenheit at the top of the run. All runs using the EuroCode FMIC display a consistent temperature behavior, while the OEM unit continues to climb through the roof. The highest temperature experienced during our torture test with the Eurocode was only 86°F vs the OEM unit which reached an astonishing 124°F.

Dyno data using a dynapack hub dyno, APR Stage 2+ on 91oct fuel (EuroCode HFC, EuroCode Cat-Back 3", Carbonio Intake & stock intercooler) vs. the addition of a EuroCode FMIC to the modification list. Power shift to the left shows the efficiency of the turbo outlet adapter & the deletion of the factory sound box. The dyno charts also reveal the increase in HP and TQ output to the wheels throughout the power band. These goes hand in hand with the graphs above of the intake temperature showing stock intercooler vs. EuroCode Tuning FMIC.


Eurocode Tuning is proud to introduce our FMIC kit for the B8/B8.5 chassis A4. Over 12 months of testing, research and development & manufacturing has been put into providing a kit that is second to nothing.
Our FMIC kit features the following:
- 22" x 11" x 3" high density bar and plate core
- CAD designed cast aluminum endtanks, with directional vanes on the hotside to reduce turbulence
- CNC machined, billet aluminum support bracket, engraved with our logo
- CNC machined, billet aluminum 2.5" turbo outlet adapter
- Mandrel bent, 2.5" aluminum hard piping from turbo outlet, to core and from core to throttle body
- CNC machined, billet aluminum MAP sensor bung
- 5 ply silicone couplers (six provided)
- 306 stainless steel t-bolt clamps (twelve provided)
- 306 stainless steel installation hardware (complete)
Plumbing available in Mirror Polished or Powder coated black Both form and function are equally important to the team at Eurocode, because of this; we set out to build the most beautiful and top performing kit on the market. Computer aided design (CAD) and Stereolithography (SLA) was used throughout our modeling process. Computational fluid dynamic (CFD) software provided us with the calculations to develop a cast aluminum endtank that is so efficient, the pressure drop and turbulence are among the most minimal we have seen. This efficiency has proven to reduce air intake temperatures (IATs) bay as much as 35% in repeated full load runs. Reduction of IATs is crucial to performance of turbocharged engines; we have see horsepower recovery in excess of 20WHP with both APR and REVO stage II programming. Temperature recovery of our FMIC is incredible as well, allowing for stable IAT's during multiple full load pulls. The team at Eurocode found that the tiny 2" cast aluminum turbo outlet flange was a huge restriction to turbo output as well as spool time, because of this; we are including a 2.5" (over 60% larger) CNC machined billet aluminum outlet adapter. This adapter provides a smooth transition to our 2.5" mandrel bent aluminum hard piping. Aesthetical highlights of our FMIC kit are the gorgeous CNC machined, billet aluminum support bracket, which allows the core to be suspended in free air from the factory crash bar. The brace is attached with rubber well nuts that provide both ease of installation and vibration dampening. Our 26" wide core (endtank to endtank) fills if the entire lower portion of the grill. What size is the ID (inner diameter) of the EuroCode Tuning TestPipe? Our High Flow Cat "HPipe" starts off at the back of the turbo with a 3.5" ID. We have used a 3.5" cat instead of a 3" cat for a greater flow characteristic. After the cat the, it transitions to 3" ID down at the factory downpipe flange. We did this because the OEM gasket between the turbo and cat only has an ID of 3.5", and going any lager wouldn't be of any benefit.
This unit will work with all after market as well as OEM exhaust systems that utilize the factory flange and adapter location. Choose from our Hpipe or Hpipe with new OEM gaskets and installation hardware.

The second photo with the square box represents the OEM intercooler pipe connected to the sound box. EuroCode Tuning's High Flow Intercooler Pipe replaces the OEM plastic pipe. This pipe is located between the lower driver side intercooler hose and throttle body hose and mounts to the frame rail. The OEM sound box has to be filled by pressurized air before air can make it to the motor. This creates a pressure drop in the system and thus adds to the "laggy ness" of the turbo motor.
The EuroCode High Flow Intercooler Pipe Eliminates this sound box. The diameter is consistent all the way through without any unnecessary bends, the high flow Intercooler Pipe is a must for any 2.0 TSI engine with aftermarket programming. The Intercooler pipe delivers much better air flow for greater turbo reaction thus increasing throttle response. Manufactured using aluminum piping that has been mandrel bent for maximum flow. A flange has been added which utilizes the OEM rubber inserts to allow it to be installed in the factory location. Also attached to the pipe are provisions for the factory MAP sensor (Boost pressure sensor).
The high flow intercooler pipe is available in powder coated Black. Along with the EuroCode Tuning High Flow Cat or EuroCode Tuning E-Pipe you will increase turbo reaction and spool up significantly. This will drastically broaden the power band of the vehicle and overall performance.

As many of you have seen, we are currently offering the finest intercooler kit on the market for the B8/B8.5 Chassis. Our IHI billet aluminum turbo outlet adapter has given quite a bit of buyer's remorse to those who have purchased a competitor's product.
