    Boost leak test help

So I've been having a problem for awhile now boosting past 10psi.
So I ordered a boost lest tester and ran my first test today.

At 5psi I found the line off the DV was leaking as well as the vacuum T I put in for the ECS boost gauge. Fixed both those leaks at 5psi anyways.

So I figured well I peak at around 16psi and I had problems at 10+

I turned the regulator up to 10psi started spraying just to turn and notice this turbo inlet pipe / ie the pipe you stick the boost tester into was swelling to no tomorrow and was about to pop, I literally ran to disconnect the air hose from the regulator.

Everytime I tried to bring the air pressure up to 10 pounds or more the thing would swell like it was gonna pop.

Ideas and suggestions would be much appreciated. I've been boost less for 2 months now... Driving just isn't the same. Thanks !

After thinking it though my theory is because the throttle plate was closed since the car was off ? Thus a "closed" door ? Or "blockage"

Maybe, but the tip should be able to handle 10psi with ease. I havent leak tested my car, but I don't believe excessive swelling is normal. How old is your tip?

Stock as far as I know - I've own the car since 140k and I'm at 167k now - my theory was the pressure was getting blocked by the throttle plate and making it back up there. I could be wrong that was just my theory

Mine swells too, they all do, I never "hold down" the trigger and kinda pulse the air a little while doing a test.
