Any B6 VCDS mods for turn signals as parking lights?

I ordered a set of ecodes, (goody me, they are the depo ones which fog up instantly) and didn't realize at the time I needed a set of h6w city light/parking light bulbs. I got the error when driving and noticed the problem, now I was wondering if instead of having some ugly halogen bulbs running with my xenon bulbs at the same time, can you just reprogram the turn signals to be on instead? I know this is an option with B8's using vcds, but anyone know of a way without cutting or soldering wires together?

No coding option is available. You can either get a halogen bulb with a color temperature similar to your xenon lights, or get a LED bulb. Plenty of threads with lots of good info on these if you search.

Yep that's what I did installed the T10 City lights a couple days ago. Miss my turn signals as city lights though. If your going with the T10(w5w) I suggest some bright leds, ambers ftw.

Do you have to do anything to make the t10 bulbs fit, or are they the same base just a different bulb? From my research all of the LED bulbs for the h6w are 6000k which is much whiter than the stock 4200k or 4300k (which ever they were). It is going to look much better than standard halogen bulbs for sure, but I wanted something a little closer to the xenon color. I was not able to find anything close to that color for halogen bulbs either, the only thing remotely near it was the Phillips h6w blue vision which are basically light blue and even further away from xenon. Anyone else have a good bulb that they can recommend, I went ahead and just purchased some cree led ones for now, I will see how well they look when I get here, but I am really picky about this sort of stuff lol.

They looked like the most experienced seller with a decent product that wasn't going to come from China.

he is. On the halogen ecodes it's a T10/H5W (wedge) base bulb, on the xenon ones it's a BA9x/H6W (bayonet) base. I got 5000K LEDs from jdmtoy.com which match my HIDs perfectly

Do you have factory bulbs, or did you upgrade to 5000k hids? Do you have a pic? :)

Bringing this thread back, since I kinda miss the turn signal bulbs as parking lights on the old Valeo. So it can't be programmed with VAG at all?
