Ran over truck tire in road and car is having issues….2013 s4

I recently ran over a blown tractor trailer tire on the highway….my car after about 30 seconds lost all power almost as if it it weren't getting any gas. I had it towed and it is at a local repair shop…it won't start and they said there is no fuel pressure…my initial thought was that it has impact sensors or something. The gentleman there told me they didn't think it had impact sensors….it is a 2013 s4….anyone with any suggestions on what I can tell them to look for or try would be great. Thanks guys and beware of blown tires in the highway especially when driving fast.

Why didn't you have it towed to a dealer?

Probably impact sensors. If it get thudded hard enough to think there was a wreck, the fuel pump won't prime so it won't set you on fire like a Tesla. Take it to a real mechanic, your local one probably thinks it's some kind of spaceship. lol

Not sure how it works on Audi, however my Dad hit quite a big pothole in his Acura TSX - effects where exactly the same. There is a switch deep under the steering wheel which is close to impossible to find. Once he turned it, the fuel pump started working and etc ...

If you have a 2013, you must be eligable for the 24 hr roadside assitance. Why get it towed anywhere but Audi?

Local shops prob have no clue how the technology in the latest cars work. Would never take a car like this to a local shop unless they have certified mechanics by Audi.

If you can scan for codes, that might be helpful. Any dash lights on? Found this link where the guy found bad fuses after his accident:

Let us know what you (or the dealer) ultimately determines as the problem.

Can't you also take it to VW dealerships?

If an Audi dealership is hard to find, I bet an Audi certified mechanic who opened their own shop is even harder. Would also say Audi / VW dealership.
