    Difference between 1.8t lifters audi/vw

So I just called the dealership I work at, and they quoted my $47 each!!!! They say that these lifters are Audi specific. I always thought that all 1.8t's had the same lifters? Are the heads really that much different? Regular volkswagon 1.8t lifters should cost me between 15-20 each for oem's.

For as much as just these lifters will cost, I could buy an AEB head that is known to be in good condition.

And also what do you guys think about seafoaming the motor to get rid of whatever is in the lifter and clean the motor in general

Call Vw dealer with same part number you need. Most of the time the Audi dealer have higher markup on same item because Audi owner.

Or if you want a good cheaper replacement http://www.vapmotorsports.com/146-oe...ifter-set.html.. or if you want a really cheap replacement you can find sets on ebay..The ebay ones are usually chinese made so they quality isn't there. And as far as I know all 1.8ts use the same lifters. I can't say I'm 100% sure on this though.

Yeah I called integrated engineering and they said that pretty much every vw/Audi motor uses the same lifters. So I called work again and the idiot still couldn't help me out. Soooooooo I'm going to talk to the guy I trust and hopefully get a cheaper option.
