:: ECS Tuning :: MKI TT Jack Pad Adapter Kits!

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!

Take the danger and aggravation out of lifting your MKI Audi TT with the ECS Tuning Jack Pad Adapter Kit. Designed to fit the head of a standard floor jack, the adapter has a round head that firmly engages the chassis jack pads.

Positive engagement at jack head and chassis resists jack slippage and shifting, while the raised adapter head prevents damage to rocker panel trim and underbody panels.

Made of black anodized aluminum for added strength and corrosion resistance, the adapter fits the head of most hydraulic floor jacks, including the Schwaben Low Boy.

Or, you grab some used hockey pucks from a local ice rink and just chamfer them in a lathe for next to nothing. Or even with a grinder may work. Just saying, that's what worked for me. Aluminum cutting, carbide bit, with a good size chip evacuation trough on the cutting edge worked the best. Just close the chuck jaws, use the tailstock to hold the puck against the jaws real good, and don't ram the cutter in deep. lotsa rpm. if you don't have a compound bridge just do it by eye and run a bastard file over it to smooth it off after roughing the general shape.
