Swapping Drivers Side Seat Bottom With Passenger Side

Is this possible? I was going to pay about $125 for someone to "restuff" my drivers seat so that it isnt saggy any more, but yesterday on the way home I started thinking about swapping the seat bottoms, side to side. The seats cushions are identical and it looks like the plastic covers on the side will pop off (and probably break a few tabs), and I was wondering if you could just swap out the bottoms. Im sure its not that easy, as with everything on this car, but it was just a though. Im the only one in the car 80% of the time and I could care less how the passenger feels. I mean hell. They already get heated and power seats. They dont need a firm cushion

interested in this as well. I rarely have passengers so I agree, why should they get the nicer seat...jeez...

I know that I would have to cut a slit into the left side of the passenger seat for the power harness and then I could just tape up the other existing slit (which would be facing the console) to keep things looking pretty good. Im just concerned about how the foam/cover are attached to the frame.

I believe they are different, if you look up the part numbers for drivers vs passenger on ECS or ETKA you will see they have different numbers. funny part is how much more expensive the drivers side components are.

well they would be more expensive if youre comparing 2 seats from a full power optioned b6. the drivers seat full power has full power EVERYTHING and the pass. side is only power lumbar. where as teh b7, both seats are FULL power.

The 3.0 has dual full powered seats. One of those features that wasn't passed on to the 1.8's.

was referring to even just the fabric/frame hadn't gotten to electrical yet.

that is wild! Perfect example of how no one swaps the passenger seat.....

Back to the original question. Any one know whats holds the cover/foam onto the seat frame? Is it just the cover?

Am I reading this wrong, or is this saying that the drivers side is $73 and the pass is $715 ?

i keep coming back in here thinking that there is an answer to this question but theres not!!! some has had to of tried this. If no one answers by saturday, Im ripping the seats out and trying things out.
