Hello,
Long story (isn't too long). I have a 2013 Audi A4 with 55,000KM on it. Since i have bought the car (used) the brakes have been squeaking. Dealership told me it was rust on the rotors because the car was parked for a while (didn't make sense because car is a 2013 with 55K on it!) but dealership said car was okay to drive. Then a few days ago I slam on the brakes and a light pops-up saying "Check brake pads" with the brake pad symbol. Take it back to dealership and they tell me that they thought the brakes were fine but with a deeper inspection (don't know why they didn't do that the first time) the rust on the rotors has cut into my brake pads and i need new rotors and brakes all around.
Of course, being the stealership they quoted me at 1600$ for the job. I called my guy who said he could do it for 1129$. So my guy says he can get OEM rear rotors, but can only find Brembo rotors for the front of the car. Is it okay putting OEM rears and Brembo front rotors on? Also, he said that all 4 of the brake pads will be Brembos. Wondering if that will cause any issue or be better for my car?
Now for wheels,
I am buying wheels off this guy as well. I ordered a set of VMR710s (gunmetal) for my car. He recommended/ordered me Hankook V12 wheels which are 235/35/19 all around. Is that a good summer setup to have?
How do you guys feel gunmetal will look on Ice metallic silver?
Thanks so much in advance for the input,
Cheers.
