Car buy scenario - Auction vehicle - need advice

I see a 2011 A4 P+ that is at auction right now. The vehicle has been rapaired by Insurance but they told me to finish the work was more than the insurance was willing to put in it. As it sits, it complete condition and looks good via the pictures.
    Salvage title.
    No dash lights.
Obviously it won't turn on because it isn't getting power. Sounds to me like they troubleshooting wasn't worth the time and money. Obviously the insurance is taking a loss.

If it were you, what would be your first concerns? Body harness? Engine Harness?

What would you pay for the car as is? <$4k?

    Thanks,
    Mike

The insurance adjuster may have overlooked something and the body shop knows exactly what's wrong. It's just the addition of that expense put it over the insurances threshold. To me, for insurance to begin a repair then abondon it means whatever remaining work it needs must be significant.

Since you mention a harness...my sister's Jetta had its main harness destroyed by a leak. They had to order the harness, have it made, then shipped from germany. The car sat at the dealer 50% disassembled for 6 weeks waiting on the part. It was a $7k warranty covered repair.

What is considered significant at this point? An extra 2-4k to fix it? Junk yards usually have modules or harnesses to be pulled. Idk, I'm just looking to upgrade from the B6 by the end of the year in size. The new A4 is a little bigger inside. Trying to find a way to minimize my total cost.
