    Bad experence with Euro Collective

So this post is only to give feed back on my experence with euro collective, I purchased a RS4 grill from them and was assured that it would be of high quality and no issues. The grill fit fine however the audi rings and holder that came with it were of TERRIBLE quality. The plastic was cheap looking and the rings would not stay snapped in. When attaching the rings holder that was a terrible design as the rings move on the grill if you try and tighten the screw posts break. I took this up with Euro Collective they started off with saying we have sold over 200 of these kits with no problems. I asked for a refund and there were not willing to do that. I explained that I work in the collision industry as it was installed by a professional and we both were of the opinion it was a very cheaply made set up. At this point there has been no refund offered and so this is the reason for the post. I just want people to make sure they know what they are getting even though you are told these kits are awesome unless you dont care for what your car looks like then this is for you if you are looking for a highline product this is NOT it. I know there will be people posting stupid comments about this post and im fine with that, however if this makes a bunch of people second guess their purchase then this post has done its job.

    Best regards,

Lots of people on here have voiced their opinions on shitty ring holders that came with their RS4 grills. You are not the first, or the last. I would be posting on here as well if an advertised product didn't do what it claimed.

There are more expensive options for RS4 grills some 2x what you paid for this example which are top quality. Point is you get what you pay for. Live and learn.

They are all the same, cheap and require breaking the tabs on your rings...this is nothing new

My rings are super glued and hot glued to my grille haha. Looks fine on the outside, backside is a mess. There was no way around it.

No issues with quality on mine, but I got it off a local seller online on Ebay in called Mars Tuning. Overall, you get what you pay for. Plenty of crap out there online. You just have to make sure you don't always go for the cheapest option.

Has anyone tried the ECS options? I have never been disappointed with their products.

My grille is the ECS B8 grille. The plate holder didn't fit at all (which is no issue for me since I dont run a front plate) and the ring hold was off center with the tabs and in order to fit my rings on the holder right I had to break most of my ring tabs and use glue. I didn't really complain on the forum because I was happy with the result regardless of the means in this case.

The ECS one I bought is just north of $200, it's a little unrealistic to assume that it will be 'OEM Quality', especially when an OEM intercooler cover (which is a plastic POS) costs $100. No one else is making these posts because they understand this tradeoff. No way in hell would I pay double the cost if it meant the ring holder was more "quality" lol

Yeah, break the post and use epoxy with double sided tape and you will be fine.

This is the only thing that is making me not want to buy the rs4 grill. The fact that you can't get an OEM one so I might as well just go with the black OEM one from Audi.

That's what I did I went to a black optics s4 grill, I never expected perfect quality I just expected them to be honest on the quality when asked

ECS, eurocollective, LLTek, etc., are all selling the exact same grille.

The other option is the JC Sportline grille, which is slightly different and the ring holder is molded into the grille, not a separate piece.

I think the world should realize at this point that if the product is from China, it's hit or miss (mostly miss) on quality. I have nothing against China, but in my experience the quality control we expect barely exists there. My wife bought all our light fixtures for our last house from Restoration Hardware. Not A cheap store, nor is it the most expensive, but everything in that store is made in China or somewhere in the far east. We had a couple of bathrooms that required 2 of the same fixture. Each fixture had different parts and different packaging...WTF
