    Avant only CO?

    Hello all,

Been doing some research over the last few weeks on what coilovers to spring for. I think I have read every coilover thread on AZ and i'm still not 100% on the findings. I see that only a few brands design their coils for specific cars and that the avant coils are not the same as the sedan because of the weight difference and so on. The car won't ever see the track and will be my DD. I have coils on my GTi but now that i'm a bit older they are just too stiff for my liking. What I would like to know is if you guys know what specific coils are made for the avant.

Here is a list of what coils that interest me, i'm just not sure what ones are specific to avants. I would like to spend under 1600. I will be adding a RS4 rsb before doing the coils.

Pss9's- around 2k and give me dampening control however, the testimonies are mixed on how much the adjusting does. People say that you really only feel the difference at the extremes. Also, not sure if I would ever adjust them after installing. Probably go for the softer setting and leave it which makes me wonder why I would spend that on CO's if i'm not going to use them the way they were designed.

KW v2's- between 1700 and 2k? Again they offer some control but I didn't really find many people who have done a thorough review only people saying "I like my v2's" which doesn't help much.

Vogtland gt1- Vogtland seems to be very popular on here. Close to stock ride (from what I hear) and they are one of the lease expensive. People also say to get the GT1 because they have a higher spring rate in the rear for avants? Can someone confirm this?

H&R street- 1100 or so. if these are anything like the ones on my GTi I want to stay away from them. They have progressive dampening like Vogtland but I think they are on the firmer side.

I saw that Stasis made a street sport coil but haven't found any reviews on them. Also, KW made one similar but again didn't find anything. (do they even sell them anymore?)

ST’s, koni, and tein are ones that I found have mixed reviews... Maybe I have this wrong?

Sorry that this is so dense just hope someone can steer me in the right direction. Thanks for your help. (I have my flame suit on)

I have heard the rears are hard to adjust and they are to dampened. They have dampening control so I guess you bump that up to fix that issue but that requires taking them off...
