Automatic.... An alternative to Torque for iOS users

Hey guys,

I know many of us use Torque for simple diagnostics and code reading, but iOS users aren't able to take advantage of this do to it being structured around ELM327. Well it's you lucky day... I stubbled across an article yesterday that addresses this market and it's called "Automatic".

I'm not going to get into all the details of it, if your interested check out this write up on Wired. From what I've read it seems to be pretty legit, but I don't believe it is as powerful as Torque and at $99.00 it doesn't even come close to Torques price point of $5.00 + which even dongle you choose. I was however able to again stumble across a deal on this new gadget for $74.99 on Massdrop so get it while its hot. Anyways I just wanted to share for this iOS people looking for a simple tool thats a TAD bit cheaper than VAG... But hey that's to be expected with anything iOS related right?

WAY over priced, and Torque isn't anything near a Vag. Nice find, but not worth the money IMO. I have Torque with the BAFX (best one IMO) running Android on my Tablet and phone, and it's for sure nice to have, but I would not have paid 100 dollars for it. I will invest in a Vag when the funds are right...

What else do I need? Software or anything to actually get in and change a couple things? (what I REALLY want to do, is put my car into adaptive mode for the transmission).

I have an Automatic. I like it for scanning my cars CEL's and they are doing a lot of work to the app itself. I'm hoping some new good features come out.
