Ecu problem ??

My a4 b5 won't start untill the epc light comes on which often takes a while and several turns of the key put on diagnostics and nothing comes up ??? Plz help

Can you connect to the ecu when you have the no start issue? Does the cel also not light up?

Have you messed with the ECU connectors at all? I had a similar problem and I discovered that after replacing a wire in the connector I forgot to replace the purple retaining clip which led to the white connectors inside of it coming loose.

I've had it on diagnostics and it had no reading haven't messed with anything just won't start untill epc light comes on once it starts it goes well and normal
