okay so i replaced my coolant res with a cheep one from rock auto and now i have a low coolant sign

it got dark and cold and i didnt want to look at it again

could i have broken a wire or could the cheep res not have a sensor inside (i did push the sensor in to make sure it was connected well)

have any one ever used cheep res and had this issue

My coolant sensor wires are horribly brittle and cracked everywhere it's very possible that you cracked some wires. I just deleted that sensor as I check on that stuff at least once a week.

you delete it by cutting the sensor and twisting the two wires together or putting a wire from one side of the sensor to the other like people do to the brake sensors in these cars

My coolant sensor saved me from a catastrophic overheating when I changed my low temp thermoswitch and didn't have it seated properly and it blew off.

Keep the coolant sensor. I blew off a radiator hose once. The sensor saved the engine!

Keep it......you'll become a retard if you delete it(instant side effect)

PS -- only put pink stuff in your coolant resevoir
