TWC vs. Verizon for TV and Interweb??

I'm seriously done with TWC! They blow in every sense. Just want to see what Verizon peeps be saying? I got an offer to start up service for $89/month. I'm paying $180/month with TWC ( 2 cable boxes, internet & phone) and have no premium channels. I'm about ready to make the switch!

Netflix/Hulu/Amazon Prime AppleTV or Roku.

I just use Netflix with my PS3 and Apple TV. w/ cable internet from TWC or it may be comcast soon or what happens w/ the 45B merge.

Fios without a doubt. We switched a few years ago from TWC and its been great. i think we pay 200ish for tv phone and internet.

I think the bundle was cheaper with the phone, but thats the number my grandmother still calls and he number we give to all the people we don't particularly like but still need to hear from.

I do. Home phones are soooooo... much clearer. It is also a backup to my cellular home alarm.

I have fios, I will never move to a house that doesn't have it available (I believe they are no long running to new locations). Can't go back. WONT GO BACK...

^I have a home line as backup for my alarm as well though my phones are bluetooth capable and linked to both mine and my wife's iphones. I customized the ring for the cell phones and only answer if it's a cell call. If someone is calling my landline I know that it's a telemarketer since I don't give out that number.

FIOS is available at my house but I stuck with Comcast. I have a special deal which requires me being with them for a year (maybe two). Once that period is over I might consider switching. Comcast was down for a few hours during the recent ice storm while my neighbors with FIOS didn't have any interruptions. I am afraid of Verizon tech support though. I've had bad experiences in the past.

Comcast. I pay about $100/month for the bundle with HD channels and 60mb/s download (comcast's top speed :( ). My condo's intercom system can only work with a local phone number, so I got the phone service and had it forwarded to my cellphone. lol

That's there top speed over there? I used to get like 120 on Comcast... But Fios is way better anyway.

I have FiOS Prime with Quantum 50/25 internet and use Vonage as my home service provider.

My monthly bill excluding taxes is roughly 99.99/mo plus ~15 for the phone service; add in NetFlix service, my bill comes out to about 140 with taxes.

Honestly, you're not getting a better deal price-wise. Verizon has a tendency to go up in price after the first three to six months and their prices are generally higher than all others (they know this too) but their service is awesome compared to ComCrap (TWC for you).

If it's anything, I switched from ComCrap to Verizon....it's night and day difference, service-wise.

I am afraid of Verizon tech support though. I've had bad experiences in the past.

It is the worst... No doubt. But the product is good enough, that you never have to deal with them.

i have fios and love it. yeah its a bit steep in price I have the old 35/35 package and HD extreme and pay 151 a month

It's the top speed for residential service on Comcast in my area. Astound offers up to 110mb/s for residential service but I'm cautious of switching because it will probably require that I switch back in the end.

Years ago Astound only offered business class T1 but they've broken into the residential service market in the last 5 or so years.
