2014 AZ DC-area Golf Group

Tried to put this together last year, but interest fizzled after a few meets. Would anyone be interested in getting an AZ golf group together? Figure we could play a couple of times per month, hit the ranges, drink beers etc.

No matter if you're great or terrible, it's a great chance to get outside and away from the wives/gfs! Once the weather gets nicer, I'll post a g2g to head to a driving range. Baby steps guys, baby steps.

Topgolf is good for a larger group and is much more mellow and social.

However, I would like to actually hit the links.

Picked it up a couple of years ago and now I'm hooked. One thing about the area, they sure got some nice places to play/practice. Count me in (even putt putt - lol).

So it sounds like we have a few different groups/meets we can do- some minigolf/top golf type stuff and actually getting out on the course. Definitely down for both types. Yesterday's weather definitely got me pumped for golf season

I've never been on a course and I don't own a set of clubs. I normally just borrow the TopGolf set and drive.

I wouldn't mind going to a local driving range and knocking some balls around...Could be a fun mini-meet. Plus we don't need great weather for it.

I would prefer to play an actual round of golf, but the downside is everybody would be split into foursomes.

Topgolf should be able to accommodate us if we wanted to reserve 4 or 5 adjacent bays. The food is actually pretty decent for bar food and there's plenty of drink options as well. Parking is always a cluster though.

Or we take over a local range, Hilltop in Alexandria, Woody's in Sterling, golf park at Hunter Mill.

Why are all the options in Va huh? I have a good friend who's an assistant at a public course here in Montgomery

You also stated that you are "terrible"! Any golfer will tell you that there's nothing more frustrating than playing with a hacker

If your buddy can get us a good deal, I'd consider crossing into Maryland.

There's nothing wrong with MD, the places I mentioned are closer to me and why I frequent them. I failed to mention I love golf and try to play as often as possible.
