First Id like to say this is my first audi and also my first post. Also I did try searching for this question before I came straight to the boards to post. Hopefully I don't make anyone mad asking the question

I want to buy 20 inch rims for my B8 I have really no knowledge on offset for rims so I am curious how an a rim with the measurements of 20 X 9 with an offset of 35 would work? or look?

20" offset is entirely too much.

20x9 et35 would be perfectly fine.

255/30/20 will work fine, but if you're slammed, you're going to need 245's

there was someone in the s4 forum who had a 20x10 et 35 and he was able to run a 245/35/20

i would honestly run a 35 series tire instead of a 30 series…protect your rim a little more against bump and pot holes

If you want a 35 series, you're going to need 225/35/20 to have the same rolling diameter, otherwise your speedo will be off.

    Here's a 9" 245/30/20

No, that is the correct tire size for 20's
