    Pilot bearing question?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Quick question. I am installing a new pilot bearing, it came with the ecs ra4 conversion kit, and I think I might have tapped it to far into the crank. Is the bearing supposed to sit somewhat flush with the crank flange where the flywheel bolts on? Or are you supposed to tap it in till it stops? I stopped before it bottomed out and just wanted to check with you guys since there is no mention of it in bentley. Thanks guys.

Ugh..... Nevermind. I found this just after posting and I definitely tapped it in too far. Scroll down about half way through the link and you will see it is supposed to sit flush. WHY IS THERE SO MUCH ROOM TO DRIVE THE BEARING BACK THEN............ The hole in the crank is like a mile deep. Probably two actually. Thanks anyway.
