    Hey guys,

I made this video and figured I'd share it with the same guys who own this car.
    Hope you enjoy.

I thought the video was fairly good. Nice production. Was there a passenger in the car with you on those 1/4 mile runs?

Thank you, and no the track doesn't allow passengers for cars under 14.0.

so it has some sort of aftermarket filter on it.

I think that it's important to specify any mods

We were going to get into that, but the car is stock.
It ran the best time with the factory air box vs the spectre air filter so we left those details out.

With a pilot like this, there's a learning curve. What to include, what not to include, and where to place the focus.
So yes you did see a filter... but it was irrelevant. It's unfortunate that this shot made it to the internet lol

Stock S4 I'm assuming? No passenger? Did you drop the spare? Tire pressure? Fuel type? Do you like T or A?

Like the video. More info than most, including my own, but my videos are for me, not so much the public.

Yes, all stock, no passenger, everything else all the same from the way it rolled off the showroom floor. This car only had like 1500-2000 miles on it lol

Good video, and as stated before, the production value is better than most of what you see out there.

When doing the various shots of the car before the track footage, remove your plates so that you can forgo the blurring of your tag numbers. Also, the 'hunting' for focus on the results of your drag runs looked a bit amateurish.

Tough to manage in the moment, granted, but still.

Overall, thumbs up! I look forward to more!

Must be the way I drive the car, I can't get lower than 13.5 in mine with the same Density Altitude. :(

Just for a base, I got 10 runs bone stock. Next month I'm going with air intake, probably do another 10 or so. Then Exhaust, repeat, then tune, etc. After that who knows, if we ever get a Stage3 from APR I could go that route, or I could go completely custom.

What do you have planned for the next video? That Buick maybe?

    Not bad.
The blurry camera while filming the track slips is counter to your claim of track vids that are shaky etc... I'd perhaps get a better system of filming those in more of a controlled environment...
I'd also like to know how much fuel in the tank, driver weight, and if the spare was removed etc...

I also would like to know how much time elapsed between runs. This car runs stronger the harder you drive it - if your runs were closer together I think you'd have gotten better times...

Otherwise - not a bad vid...

Yeah we had instant auto focus on at the time... lesson learned lol
In post we also realized that plates are coming off next time haha

    You mean this one?

Oh yea, that'll be in an episode :)
Other than that, I've got a 2013 Regal GS, 2013 Hyundai Genesis 3.8 track, 2005 Forester XT, and some other cars I'm not talking about yet :)

All of the info is available in this thread and on the slip.
I'd actually counter your point about the car being driven hard and getting faster. There's a TVS blower on the car and Eaton's are notorious for heat soak. You drive the car hard and run after run it will get slower.
I've tried extensively to find stock S4 times and I can't find much info on it, so I don't really know how these times stack up. But I was expecting it to run slower than it did.

To be fair, it wasn't a real intake... just a $25 spectre filter on the end of the stock stuff.
A proper intake may or may not have yielded gains.

My suggestion for shooting the slips is to simply show a picture of them with the audio track playing in the background. No need to show a video with the autofocus issue. Or, disable the autofocus and go with manual focus. I still think just having a picture with the audio track would be better.

The difference IMO was irrelevant. It added a bit of sound which was nice though.

    Can't wait.

I love Drag Racing and Le Mans. I'm not confident enough to stick my car on the track near here, walls are waaayyy too close to the corners.

    Nice job.
I would suggest that if you are going to do a walk and talk like at the start of this one, use a Steadicam , or go cheap and have the camera operator sit in wheelchair for smooth camera movement. The shot is way too bumpy and distracting, when people should be focused on you and what your saying. It will add a lot to the production value.
