Rear diffuser on Norwegian PES supercharged AVUS RS4 on 5th gear

Was watching 5th gear today and they were in Norway at a drift event. One of the cars was an AVUS RS4 with PES charger on it. What caught my eye was the rear diffuser.... Anyone have any leads to this or more photos of it?

I'm on the fence with this one, I agree with Mr. Wrong as it does seem to stick out to far.

VW?! I don't know man looks like b6 avant to me...

And I concur, that valance sticks out too far and those fins are kinda over the top. IMO the RS4 has one of the sexiest rear ends ever made and it shouldn't be touched at all. Hence that white RS4 looks atrocious to me.

While this looks different and has similarities to touring cars, it does not improve on the stock vehicle's look.

thanks for all the photos Mr. wrong. thats awesome that they fully caged and seemingly made a race car out of the RS. the only other one i have seen was the one done by audi...

It's a good looking diffuser -- reminds me of an AMG Black Series. I agree that it sticks out a bit too much though.

I agree that it is a bit aggressive, but I would like to know 1. how it attaches, 2. what is done with original valence, 3. if they make any other versions (less aggressive)

What I really want it a CF mask to go over the original valence/diffuser, since I have cf b and c pillars and cf splitter.

Heres a diferent angle, it actually doesnt look as bad. Hard to see it but it might grow on me.

Is that matte white? I would love to wrap my car matte white. I feel like that would be a great look with the black/red interior I have.

On the diffuser topic, I would love just a carbon fiber version of the OEM one. I agree that this one sticks out kinda far for my liking but I'd probably still rock it if it was available.

it sticks out JUST too far. it is so close to being really awesome. I had a similar one on my Z and loved it, but the RS4 does already have an amazing rear end and this isn't necessary. The only thing I would want is a euro trunk. I love the way the space for their license plate makes the car look even wider.

Yup I want one….I'm not even sure it sticks out too much(on the white car). Would have to see it in person.

Does anyone speak Norwegian? We should contact TE Motosports or the Body shop Markveien Karosseri that mostly likely did the work. Someone has to have more info on this.

The more I look and compare it to other cars that have a rear diffuser its just as aggressive, and reminds me of the rear carbon diffuser a buddy of mine has on his E92M3.

yeah the more I look at it the more I like it. part of the problem is these pictures are garbage and that never helps

I don't know for sure, but if it's a rear bumper cover, that kills two birds with one stone for me!

You are correct. RS4 valence is one piece with the bumper. Only the "mesh" pops out.

Which then leads to my next question, would this therefore be a valence+bumper single piece? If yes, why is it sticking out like that? Who would make a valence stick out like that on purpose?

I doubt they made a new bumper to go with it, but it's possible. For a functional diffuser (which that doesn't really look to be anyways) you want as much surface area as possible.
