For both my S5 and A5 i had with geico, DRL option was defaulted to off. i ticked it on, and i saved about 40 off my 6 month premium. cant gaurantee it will work for your state, but its worth looking into to save a few bucks.

Thanks for the tip! I plan on getting Mechanical Breakdown Insurance through GEICO once my car arrives. I've had GEICO insurance for almost twenty years and have no complaints.

Con't find the discount within my policy. My wife has a Honda Pilot with DRLs, but maybe Virginia doesn't offer any savings. Guess it's worth a phone call.

for me its in:

policy details - edit/view vehicle - vehicle equipement

check to see if DRL is one of the option, and if it is, u can check either yes or no

I find it interesting (scary and annoying) that many cars don't handle DRL's very well, in that they still have the instrument lights on when it's dark and only the DRL's are on, so that many people with fairly bright DRL's will drive without full lights (so no rears) in the dark without knowing it. See that grey car ahead in the dark? Nope.

Yup, I tried too and there isn't a DRL option/ discount for RI. It was worth a shot though.

Damn, MA has nothing for that either. I do see that they have an option for covering aftermarket wheels, I'm sure for an additional premium. I may consider adding that.

i think this is the case for everything. everyone has different experiences with dealerships, insurance companies, cable services, etc etc. sucks that u had bad experience with them. i had a great one with them when i had my s5. very prompt in responding and sending out the check to get my car fixed when i got into my accident. they are also the cheapest, i literally saved more than 600 by using geico vs all state/liberty mutual

I agree. I also had a poor experience with a Geico claim a number of years back (not at fault accident), so I switched to Progressive. I also didn't like their claim service a couple of years ago (another not-at-fault accident)... so now I am with Allstate. Hopefully I won't need to use their claim service. As noted above, these experiences are different for each person, just like car brands and dealers.

I priced all 3 again recently at renewal time and Geico was most expensive where I live, by a pretty good margin.
