I have a 2005.5 A4 with 148,000 miles and change the oil every 5k and it uses about 3/4 to 1 quart during that time. And it's driven pretty hard. So it doesn't cause any issues. Seems to use less oil though since I went with Castrol 5W30 on the last oil change
