Do all 2.0 litre engines have oil consumption problems?

It seems to most affect model years 2009-2011.
It was likely a bad piston design, related to the ring lands... but im not a mechanic just a guess.

I just got through this ordeal with the dealership I bought my car from. I was drinking about a quart every 700 miles or so and took it in with the paperwork from the class action lawsuit. I have a 2009 A4 with 76k on it. They did an oil consumption test (changed the oil and measured how much they put in, send you on your way until engine oil light comes on, you come back and they measure how much was consumed). They send the stats into Audi and they make the decision. In my case, Audi said yes I have excessive oil consumption. Start step 2. This involved changing the pistons and rings. Upon doing that, it became clear that my cams were scored. Send pictures and info to Audi and they said to replace the entire engine. All under the extended warranty from the class action lawsuit. Took 4 days. I hope that the problem is now resolved, but we'll see.

I have an 08 TT, just had the oil changed at 90k miles at the dealer and oil warning came on less than 3k miles in! Took a quart and a half.
