VMR was on my list to begin with and now it looks like I am coming back there after these suggestions.

I am really digging the VMR V710FF flow forms in matte graphite. I think that would look really good on the florett silver metallic.

I can't imagine you'll be disappointed. I ran a set (V708, back when I was hook, line, and sinker in love with the RS4 wheel design) on my first Audi ('06 A4 Avant) and was very pleased. Great customer service, excellent finish quality, and no issues with mounting/balancing. Not that you're soliciting opinions, but I really dig the look of the 803 as well. In a 19" size, the wider split-five-spoke design seems a little less busy, but that 710 design sure is sweet. Good luck...

I have 4 sets of VMRs on my different Audi Cars and drive them in the winter and bad roads. They hold up quite well for cheap wheels. I highly recommend them.

Can also vouch for their customer focus - they processed my order pretty quickly despite it being the Christmas weekend.
You can, of course, spend thousands more on exotic brands, but as a *rational* enthusiast, I think you cannot go wrong with the VMR + DWS06 combo.
I support this post fully :)

If you like, I can find out all 20" VMR options and report back 👍🏼

Sweet, yes I also like the V803.

And as always Mops, you can definitely post the 20" options. I could go either way 19 or 20.

Do folks typically order directly from VMR or from a vendor?

Let me gather up all options, and I'll post up. I should hear back by 3pm EST.

Almost always from a vendor, and that is how VMR prefers it to be. And the customer pays less too :)

About to order some wheels for my '10 Q5 3.2, I have done a ton of research/wheel calculators etc. and i think i am fine fitment wise but still a little nervous to pull the trigger because they cannot be returned.

19x9.5, 35mm offset and will be putting 265/50/19 or 265/60/19 tires on them. The larger tires may not fit but i will be able to figure that out locally before i buy tires. Anyone think i'll have any fit issues? Thanks

    😚

    Just in from VMR...

    V702 20x9 ET35 or 20x10 ET35 all colors
    V710 20x9 ET35 Gunmetal
    V710 20x9 ET35 and 20x10 ET35 Hyper silver
    V710 20x9 ET35 Matte Black

The 20x10 ones will need 5mm spacers I believe.

    Thannnk you sir!

Are the V710 20x9 ET35 Gunmetal flow formed? I don't see specs for those on VMR's site.

    Yep yepppp!

    VMR -

We do have some options in 19" indeed! No 20" FF models exist.... yet ;)
I do wonder.... do you think 19x9.5 ET22/ET25 would fit?

Here's what I got in flow formed:

    V710FF 19x9.5 ET33 Matte Graphite
V801 19x8.5 ET35 Mercury Black, Titanium Black, Anthracite, Hyper Silver
V801 19x9.5 ET35 Mercury Black, Titanium Black, Anthracite
    V803 19x8.5 ET35 Hyper Silver
    V803 19x9.5 ET35 Hyper Silver
    V804 19x9.5 ET35 Hyper Silver
    V810 19x9.5 ET33 Hyper Silver

I've let them know the 9.5 ET22/25 would work great. I'll post up what they come back with. 👍🏼

    More from VMR -

Hmm.... so looking back at sizing -
    20x10 ET25 I have
    V702 all colors in stock
    V710 sadly we don't do ET25 in 5x112 PCD... so still ET35.

    And here's my 19x9.5 ET22/ET25 flow formed:

    V710FF 19x9.5 ET25 Matte Graphite
    V801 19x9.5 ET25 Anthracite
    V803 19x9.5 ET25 Gunmetal
    V803 19x9.5 ET25 Hyper Silver
V810 19x9.5 ET25 both Gunmetal and Hyper Silver

    Mops on da move!
👈🏼 I like how my guy at VMR includes this part 😛

    Any 19x9.5 ET 25 pics for B8 Q5?

Considering several VMR options in this size.

Also what tire size would everyone suggest on this? I realize the stock size 235/55r19 would likely look good with the 9.5" width and ET25, but wanted to solicit other options that would fit stock unmodified suspension.

Erma Gerd. I have a crush on Mops.

    For the record...

    BBS CI-R 20x10 ET25 Satin Black
    Purchased from Nemesis Autosport.
On Monday they'll be wrapped in Continental DWS06 275/40r20's and I can't wait to see 'em!

    Noteworthy:
Those who know already know. But...Mops is the best in the business. I've been around the block enough times to say this with supreme confidence.

BBS packaging...it gets none better. Each wheel beautifully protected in a box, which then goes in another box.

    Happy.

And yes, BBS packaging is over the top. Double-boxed, with rigid material around the rim. This, along with many other reasons are the reason BBS is my #1 team.

Thank you...doh! One was a typo, one was a brain toot, both were shameful. I gotta' remember I'm amongst big dogs so game upping is mandatory.

Guards on. Two reasons. If I curb one of these wheels I'll kick myself in the jimmy, but having even an ounce of protection helps with the anxiety. Also, I actually like the contrast they provide. Black wheels, especially (ahem) satin black wheels, can visually disappear and the guard seems to help.

They’ll tie in with your badges and such as well. My wife curbed a guard right off of hers a couple weeks ago and was riding around without it for a couple weeks, so I got a good look at the wheels on her car with and without guards. Hers is white, but without BO, and I definitely liked it better with the guard.

Hers is white, but without BO, and I definitely liked it better with the guard.
I remember that. Hopefully things ended well - the guard gave its life but no collateral damage?

Side note, just in case... I posted the pic above with the Optimum products because I was a little happy-happy that both the BBS USA boxes and the Optimum box arrived on the same day. The Hyper Seal (which is a relatively new product) is not going on the wheels, but rather on the SQ, which received Gloss-Coat about 21 months back. The wheels will get Gloss-Coat, but that product has to cure for a week before applying Hyper Seal. I doubt I'll use Hyper Seal anyway, because adding gloss to a satin finish is generally a worthless pursuit. Anyway, just wanted to mention it in case I gave the impression I'm dumber than I usually appear.

Pretty much. She whacked it pretty good, and there's a scuff where the guard was pushed into the wheel, but it's covered completely by the new guard. Would have been a very different story without the guard.

Jerry you’ll like how the BBS finish takes product. Even a coat of PNS takes them to semi-gloss with ease. I think I a pic of just this. I’ll dig.

That is impressive! This morning I noticed that the Opti-Coat seemed to add quite a bit of gloss, but since I was working in crummy light in my decrepit garage, I couldn't really validate it. Maybe I will have to try some hyper seal after the next bath.

Mops, your garage floor looks amazing.

What type of coating did you do? Did you diy it? Looking to spruce mine up and I really like the color/flake combo of yours.

Thank you! I'm loving the look. Can't say I feel a significant difference on the road, but I've only scooted up and down 101 in traffic. I did get to take an off-ramp at speed, and everything felt buttoned-up and snappy. I did get the B-pillars wrapped - thank you again for that lead. Great fellow and a really nice shop. He had me in and out of there in 30 minutes.

@VroomVroom, dude, so good. I was curious how the guards would ultimately look with BO, and think it came out stellar.

That’s just about perfect Jerry!! Love that look
I probably missed this somewhere, what’s your suspension mods, any spacing issues, etc. with the new setup?

That’s perfection Jerry! Don’t you feel better now? You just need some ecodes and you’re all set.

What did you do to the B-pillars?

I've done the DIY... pass on that my man, and I'm a solid DIY guy. I even used the Sherwin Williams commercial variant. I still had issues. You want professionally applied Polyaspartic. 👍🏼
