I have hit the wall waiting for this to be released. Just ordered my Resonated AWE from Joe at TAG yesterday. Good luck to all that are waiting for this thing! I wasted the last year and a half. Was told almost a year ago that this would be released last November. However, now that I have ordered the AWE exhaust, it would make sense that this is released any day now...

So can someone explain what this exhaust is? I get there are valves that open so does it go from a resonated exhaust (Valves Closed) to non-res (Valves Open)?

I don't think there's that much noise difference between resonated and non resonated. This will most likely be close to stock sound (valves closed) to regular milltek sound (valves open).

I definitely think there will be a huge different, look at Armytrix. It´s way to lame if it will sound like resonated with open valves.

Well what I was saying is there isn't much difference in sound between a resonated and non resonated system, the difference is really just to eliminate drone in the DSG cars. I may be wrong, I have an AWE exhaust with stock DPs because I have the 6MT and no drone worries. I've never heard a resonated vs non resonated exhaust in person, on videos they sound pretty much the same. The difference in sound on the valved exhaust I think will be comparable to stock (valves closed) and the non valved milltek (valves open).

No kidding, I didn't know it was that substantial. I'm assuming then that non res would be louder than stock DP on an aftermarket cat back? How much louder? Like I said earlier, I have AWE with stock DPs so just curios how much louder mine would be with non res DPs.

Hey Saud! Yes, can't wait! I ended up not getting a b8.5 CPO'ed. Bit the bullet and ordered a new one cause I couldn't pass up the Sepang Blue
So, now just have to play the waiting game, hopefully 6 more weeks max.

I am running Milltek non-res on an s-tronic car. No drone issues, just very loud.

Capristo is fantastic, except for the price point. If you're willing to drop over $5k for an exhaust system, you can't go wrong with Capristo. If you're a baller and want to go all the way, get the titanium version of the Akrapovic exhaust system. The sound is RIDONCULOUS and is the exhaust is beautiful. Not to mention weight savings. But you'll spend upwards of $7k.

Capristo and Akropovic are both great systems. Both are also valvetronic and more uncommon than most other systems. I've heard great things about HMS too.
I'm going with Armytrix bc you can get the full system for about $3,500. For me personally, the other systems are not worth the extra $1,500-$2k for purely sound purposes.

My friend has the titanium Akrapovic system on his BMW 1M and it sounds absolutely amazing!

If you can afford it and willing to spend that much money, go with Capristo or Akrapovic! You won't be disappointed!!!
