    Headlight problems

Alright guys for the past couple months I've had some major condensation forming in my right side headlight because of the turn signal bulb holder being broken.
A few days ago I went to Audi and got the new bulb holder and I let the housing sit inside my house to dry up all the water... There was A LOT! I dumped water out of the headlight.
The next day I went to put it back in and later that night at work I flipped on my headlights and they would not go on!
Shortly after I ordered a new genuine Audi d2s osram bulb after I inspected the old bulb that looked to me like it was burnt out...
Two or Three days later as I'm still waiting for the new bulb to come in the mail I fired up my car and the light decided to work until I drove out of the parking lot at work. I proceeded to get gas and then they started working again! Until I drove up my driveway about 10 minutes later and then they shut off again! I'm assuming this is probably something to do with the wiring to the projector inside of the housing but I have no clue where to start.

Check all the bulb connectors for corrosion and get a test light and make sure your power and grounds are good

Also check the wiring inside the headlight housing. The wiring has a propensity to corrode and the jacketing gets brittle and peels off. You may not necessarily have a bad bulb or ballast.

how long did you let it dry out? may still be moisture. you need to let it dry out at least a full night, preferably 2.

had a body shop drill a hole into my headlight housing when installing hoodpins.... some people man.

Alright so I'm still trying to figure this out! When I type in corrosion in the s4's headlight I get these two wires that pop up from ecstuning but the pics are obviously not to scale cause I cannot figure out which wires they are! http://www.ecstuning.com/Audi-B5_S4--2.7T/ES4054/ http://www.ecstuning.com/Audi-B5_S4--2.7T/ES4055/

wish I could help, I've taken these apart once or twice... but... I dunno. maybe someone else can chime in...

Have you tried using that archaic device... I think they used to call them telephones... ecs and tuners keep a supply on hand for these types of emergencies =D (forgive the heavy dose of sarcasm).

Lol I emailed Ecs but they havent gotten back to me yet! This just sucks cause I wouldnt have minded just buying a bulb and swapping out but now I have to rip the headlight apart to fix it! These cars force you to learn every little piece on them lol!
