    DIY is this:

1 - Pull S4 subframe with everything attached
    2 - Bolt into B5
3 - Swap over everything that's different between the two

It's not particularly hard, just takes some common sense.

A place between here and there

Sheesh. Think about it logically. It's a 2.7t. What other car has a 2.7t? Oh, the B5 S4. Ever wonder if you can run the B5 S4 ECU (I know the answer, but you need to look at it like that). It is going into a B5 A4. Then, what else is necessary to make it work?

Sorry to come off like an a**, but it is like you decided to take on a project you have no idea about. People who do projects do extensive research before jumping into it. A 2.7t swap into a B5 A4 is simple. Why? Because the B5 S4 has the same engine and the B5 A4 has the same chassis. As mentioned above, swap over parts that need to be swapped over from the B5 S4 and it will literally be a plug and play conversion.
I hate it when my car acts like a little bitch, treating me like a bitch
