Hopefully someone can help me help a fellow A4 B8 owner, who is not on the forums, with some ideas/input on his situation. This will be vague and I'm sure have some gaps but ill try my best to give the story as he told it.

    Here is his info:
    2011 Sline
    Automatic
    APR stage 2+
    Full 3" exhaust

About two months ago he was driving to work and his car completely shut down and turned off going 65 mph on the highway. The car lost all power and luckily he was able to put it into neutral and roll to a stop on the side of the highway. He said he then put the car back into park and waited for a few minutes to try and start it. He said after 10 minutes the car finally started and he drove it off the highway and then the same thing happened. He had it towed to an Audi dealership. the car started right up at the dealership with no CEL. They have had his car going on 3 weeks and keep telling him they cannot find anything wrong with the car mentioned they checked everything and therefore haven't done a thing.

Again I know this is vague but I'm just looking for some ideas of things to pass to him that he can check. Anyone had a similar issue ?

The other day I was playing music from my cellphone and then suddenly my phone just died. The battery had 80% charge at the time. I tried restarting it and then when I was about to remove the battery to reboot, the phone restarted and then it was back to normal. Before it died on me, I had many apps open and noticed serious lag. It's been fine ever since and so I dismissed it as just a system overload, but I really don't know what caused it.

Maybe your friend's car experienced something similar with his ecu.
